Winter Retreat Registration is Here!

This past month we opened registration for our Summer Mission Trip to Yakima (The Yak). We opened it this early because we like having monthly meetings leading up to our trip to build up our team.

A few weeks ago we had the chance to move up our Winter Retreat from the beginning of March to the beginning of February! We jumped at the opportunity though we realize that it does put many families in a tight place financially.

One thing that we would like to do to help is simply combining the deposits of the two trips making them $100 to sign up for both instead of $140. We’ll be making up the difference with additional fund raising opportunities this coming year for our mission trip.

We’d also want to remind everyone of our scholarship fund. Forms can be found at the Youth Pod (room 106) or online at hccfuel.com. Our church is very gracious and understands the value of sending our students on these trips and want nothing more then to see them attend!

Please Contact me with any thoughts or questions! - Jen Easton

Christmas Parties!

For our last Wednesday Youth Group of the year, the guys and girls will be meeting at their own Christmas Parties. Both of them will be at the usual time (5:43-7:15pm).

Girls will be meeting at Rachel’s house. Bring $3, a friend and a treat to share as we decorate ornaments! Contact Rachel or Katherine with any questions!

Guys will be at the Graffe’s house. Bring $3 for food and be ready for fun! Contact Jen with any questions!

Also Winter Retreat forms will be available this week (note that our weekend has moved up a whole month to Feb. 5-7!). Forms can be picked up in the Youth Pod (room 106 in the ed building) or downloaded online at www.hccfuel.com.

We still have spots open for our Summer Mission Trip to Yakima this year (The Yak). Forms can also be found at church or online as well.

Finally, we want your kids to come on these trips so please contact me if there is anything we can do to make that happen! We still have money in our Scholarship Fund for this year as well, but please contact me soon!

Have a wonderful advent season and a safe end of the year and we'll kick off our 2010 Wednesday Night Youth Groups January 6th!

Born again!?

Do you ever stop to think about how odd that phrase is?  What does that really mean?  How would you discribe it to your friends?  Well let's play some games and discuss it this Wednesday!

Also if you haven't checked it out yet, we've uploaded pictures and the slideshows online!

You can check out our Winter Dessert slideshow on Youtube, here (or at the bottom of this post!)

And the pictures at our smugmug picture site here.

Have fun and we'll see you Wednesday!

(Also, just a heads up: Since spring break is next week for the public schools, instead of youth group we'll be having different opportunities to hang out with your leaders so stay tuned and sign up for something tomorrow!)

Winter Dessert @ 7pm!

haha.

Anyhoo!  THIS WEDNESDAY is our annual Winter Dessert at 7pm!

Jr and Sr High students AND their families and friends are all invited to spend the evening with us!  (Which means instead of our regular youth group times we will be meeting together from 7-8:30pm!)

Dessert will be provided as we watch some movies and hear some students share about their experiences at both retreats.

We'll also be announcing some info on upcoming trips so don't miss it!

Though if you can't be there, forms for those trips will be uploaded at this website!

No Fuel Tomorrow!

Just a reminder that since it is President's Break for the public schools, we won't be having Youth Group this week!  But what a perfect time you have to call up your leader and hang out with them!

Next week INSTEAD of our normal youth group we will be attending the Ash Wednesday service at HCC at 7pm (so if you show up at 5:43pm...you'll be very early).  We'll be there with the High Schoolers and others!  Can't wait to see you all there!

And we'll finally be back on our regular schedule the following week (March 4th).

Say, March 4th...isn't that right before we leave for the winter retreat?

Not if you don't sign up by the end of THIS MONTH!  Forms are linked to the right of this post where you can print them up at home and drop them off in the drop box in front of the Youth Pod (room 106).

Poinsettias!

So this afternoon we will be filled to the brink with Poinsettias!

You know, the ones that you sold to fundraise your mission trip?

SO, if you did sell them, you need to get down to the church this afternoon and pick them up so that you can deliver them over the next few days!

*I just want to say thanks for all your help getting those pictures taken last night for the Roadtrip to Nowhere!  They turned out great and I will be working on them for the next few weeks putting that calendar together!

*Also, our Winter Retreat Registration will be coming out this next week!  So make sure you are at Mass Hangout for the 10th and pick one up!

*And finally, I uploaded a quick video of the guys smallgroup night where we did "Produceball" here it is:
